Zonal Youth & Heritage Festival Day 4

The fourth day of Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage festival began on Friday to a colourful start at Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Manji Sahib, Kottan (Under the management of SGPC). On the last day events such as Group Folk Dance, Giddha, Ladies Traditional Song/Ritualistic Songs, Vaar Singing, Kali Singing, Kavishri were organised. As many as 150 boys and 250 girls took part in the events organized by Panjab University.
Group Folk Dance of Boys and Girls and Giddha performances were held on Stage 1. The boys and girls gave a splendid performances and the audience was dumbfounded. Giddha performances also stunned the audience.
Ladies Traditional Song/Ritualistic Songs, Vaar Singing, Kali Singing, Kavishri were held on Stage 2. Ladies Traditional Song, Vaar, Kali and Kavishri are traditional sources of entertainment for Punjabis. Vaar engenders the spirit of valiance among people.
The day concluded with Prize Distribution to the winning teams and the Principal said that these competitions help the students polish their skills to compete for other inter-college and other inter-university youth festivals. She also applauded the efforts of the students in various competitions and encouraged them to participate with zeal in every walk of life.
